The International Brotherhood of Teamsters Local 79 has endorsed Jessica Ehrlich, Democrat for Congress in Florida’s 13th Congressional District. They noted her commitment to the issues confronting working families as a key to their decision.

“We’ve endorsed Jessica Ehrlich early because this seat is important families all over the district. We know Jessica is the new generation of leadership who is going to change business as usual here at home and in Washington,” said President Ken Wood.

“I am so proud to be endorsed by the Teamsters. The Teamsters have been fighting for issues I believe in – and I am proud to stand with them. Together we can rebuild the American middle class.” said Ehrlich.

The International Brotherhood of Teamsters Local 79 is part of the 1.4 million member Teamsters Union nationwide. They organize and represent workers to give them a voice in the workplace and the political process.

A native of St. Petersburg, Jessica Ehrlich is a practicing attorney and has over a decade experience working in the private sector including three fortune 500 companies. Jessica is running for Congress because she is frustrated by the paralyzed partisanship in Washington getting in the way of creating more economic opportunity for middle class families in Pinellas County. In 2012, Jessica held Bill Young to his lowest vote percentage in the last two decades and this cycle she is one of only 3 Democrats to outraise a Republican incumbent.
